Looking forward to a fun day with good friends.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of good friends, our A-100 classmate Jimmi flew in last Sunday for a visit. It&#8217;s great to get the chance to visit with her. On Tuesday night, she and I went to see the <a href=\"http:\/\/marthagraham.org\/center\/\" target=\"_blank\">Martha Graham Dance Company<\/a> at the Opera House. It was a cool performance.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday we hosted book club for &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/wemeantwell.com\/blog\/about-the-book\/\" target=\"_blank\">We Meant Well: How I Helped Lose the Battle for the Hearts and Minds of the Iraqi People<\/a>.&#8221; The author, a now-suspended Foreign Service Officer, Skyped in to answer questions from the group. We had another friend Skype in later from Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>Last night Dave came over from Jerusalem and we all went to dinner at Nana &#8211; a good meal with good company!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re celebrating John&#8217;s birthday today!
