It\u2019s really hard to believe it\u2019s July already! Time is moving quickly in many regards. It\u2019s been a very rainy weekend – the sun just came out for the first time probably since last week sometime. I\u2019ve completely enjoyed the rain – often very heavy – this weekend. And speaking of weekends, I\u2019ve had one! For the first time since I can remember, I didn\u2019t work on Saturday. Instead, I finished \u201cTheir Eyes Were Watching God\u201d and started \u201cCrooked Letter, Crooked Letter\u201d (which I finished today). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
John and I watched an old movie last night, \u201cLocal Hero,\u201d that he came across somewhere – it was fun. And we\u2019ve been laughing so very hard over a ventriloquist named Nina Conti- look for her and Monkey on You Tube. We got so into her skits that we watched her documentary, as well – fascinating (we\u2019re adding Vent Haven in Kentucky on our bucket list\u2026where ventriloquist \u201cdummies\u201d go to retire. We finished \u201cThe Valhalla Murders\u201d and enjoyed the Icelandic scenery, and started a new season of \u201cUnforgotten.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
COVID numbers seem to be going down here, but they are still higher than they ever were last year, so we continue to watch closely. We\u2019re staying on skeleton staffing for now. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
