It was a lot of fun. The movie, \u201dChak de India,\u201d appeared to be loosely based on the story of the 1980 U.S. men\u2019s hockey team winning gold at the Olympics, but with girls\u2019 field hockey. It was well done and we enjoyed getting out on a pretty afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last Sunday evening we went to a nice dinner party at Spiro and Linda\u2019s &#8211; he\u2019s the DCM for the EU here in Guyana. They are a lot of fun and we enjoyed visiting with them and some other folks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a pretty routine week &#8211; but we did have an exciting sighting of four blue and yellow macaws flying overhead while we were in the pool yesterday before sunset! Amazing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The landlord\u2019s guys came to do maintenance on all of the air conditioning units. There\u2019s definitely no OSHA here &#8211; the guy on the ladder was wearing socks\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"240\" height=\"320\" src=\"http:\/\/www.criplomats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5741.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8105\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.criplomats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5741.jpeg 240w, http:\/\/www.criplomats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5741-225x300.jpeg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We enjoyed seeing Arkansas win the SEC basketball championship this week! We finished \u201cTehran,\u201d and \u201cHijack.\u201d We\u2019re watching \u201cMI5\u201d (aka \u201cSpooks\u201d) and we started \u201cIndustry.\u201d We tried to watch the new season of \u201cDeadloch\u201d and tried started \u201cScarpetta,\u201d but just couldn\u2019t get into either one. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John and I went to a new-to-us mall today to see a Bollywood movie, courtesy of the Indian High Commission.
