He\u2019s small \u2014 a 8.5 pound Chihuahua-terrier mix \u2014 and around four to five years old. He\u2019s settling in just fine and we are loving having him in the house. He hasn\u2019t met Flavia yet \u2014 we\u2019ve been keeping them separate for now. Fingers crossed they\u2019ll be OK together! Charlie is pretty chill. He\u2019s been enjoying going for walks, sitting on the balcony, and just chilling:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"217\" src=\"http:\/\/www.criplomats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_4557.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7792\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.criplomats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_4557.jpeg 320w, https:\/\/www.criplomats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_4557-300x203.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last Sunday, I went to David and Alison\u2019s for dinner in their gazebo with PeeWee and Rebecca B &#8211; nice! John was in Little Rock with his brother Phillip on a nostalgia tour, looking at their old schools, houses, church, cemeteries, etc. It sounds like they had a great time and I\u2019m glad they had time together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelly Hight came for dinner on Tuesday. John grilled up some delicious Weldon\u2019s steaks and we enjoyed catching up with her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s been a rainy week. I\u2019ve worked in a few yoga classes, and had coffee afterward one day with a new woman in class, Becky. We\u2019ve spent a lot of time at home getting Charlie used to his new digs, with occasional runs to the grocery store, etc. I think we\u2019re both still de-stressing and we\u2019re enjoying the downtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I finished reading \u201cA Wilder Shore,\u201d by Camille Peri, a biography of Robert Louis Stevenson and his remarkable wife Fanny.
