I continued to work on the online photography course and played around with a new editing software. Last Sunday I had a long call with my friend Cathy, who\u2019s finishing up Ukrainian language training before leaving for Kiev. After that I had a good chat with Lea in DC and also visited with Mellisa at the pool for a bit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John had a couple of events this week. He also spoke at the Ministry of Health\u2019s observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse &#8211; looking good, Mr. Crippen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"189\" src=\"http:\/\/www.criplomats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_6041.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8228\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.criplomats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_6041.jpeg 320w, https:\/\/www.criplomats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_6041-300x177.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We finished \u201cCriminal Intent\u201d and started watching \u201cWidow\u2019s Bay.\u201d It\u2019s very quirky and spooky but funny, too. I also started \u201cDTF St. Louis.\u201d I\u2019m reading \u201cThe Galapagos: A Natural History\u201d by Henry Nicholas &#8211; it\u2019s a great overview of the Gal\u00e1pagos Islands flora and fauna for a layperson (thanks to John for recommending it!). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week marked eleven years since Mom died.
