There wasn\u2019t much going on this week. John took Friday off, so we\u2019ve had a nice three-day weekend piddling around the house. Last Sunday we went to the EU ambassador\u2019s house to watch the World Cup finals \u2014 I was glad to see Spain win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John and I watched \u201cSong Sung Blue\u201d and finished \u201cPonies.\u201d We\u2019ve started a new British crime show called \u201cGone\u201d that we like so far. We laughed and laughed at \u201cThe Dink,\u201d a silly movie about pickle ball (maybe we\u2019ll try it when we\u2019re back in America!). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I sat in on an estate planning webinar and another one on Google Photos, trying to learn a bit here and there. I\u2019m reading a good book called \u201cArctic Passages: Ice, Exploration, and the Battle for Power at the Top of the World\u201d by Kieran Mulvaney. It\u2019s an interesting history of trying to find shipping routes via the Northwest and Northeast Passages, plus an overview of the current geopolitical interests in the region since climate change is melting the ice and opening more possibilities for trans polar shipping. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Actually, not a lot!
