Killer Catan

Catan!

We had a fun evening last night with two co-workers with pizza and Catan, followed by a few rounds of Ghost. It was a fun way to end a short, but busy week as we get ready for flight #7 next week.

We spent Memorial Day at home playing Wingspan and marking where pictures should be hung. John surprised me by having the maintenance guys hang our art on Thursday, so our house finally looks like a home again!

I also had a fun video chat with two friends from college last Sunday, one of whom I have not seen in decades – we had a great time catching up, and Jackie gave us a mini-tour of her art studio.

Pete gave us a bit of a scare this week and was hospitalized for a few days – hopefully he is feeling better and resting at home again.

I saw this guy on the sidewalk of the embassy this week. He’s big, about three (or more) inches. I typically see them on large trays on women’s heads – they are a food source here. Now that rainy season is here, I see more of them. This one seemed particularly curious.
