Happy Fourth of July!

John was in charge of the huge Consulate Fourth of July party again this year, and again it was a huge success! It’s a big event – almost 1000 invitations were sent out, so it requires a lot of careful planning and coordination. Great job, John!

During the party, I stayed in the office with two local staff members to handle phone calls and emergencies. We were the only ones in the building – an odd feeling! We were sorry to miss all the fun.

We’re in a three-day weekend now, and enjoying the down time.

Here are a few photos from my trip to Arkansas last week. The building and well pump are from Mt. Tabor, near the cemetery. David and I think that the building is the old church, but we’re not 100% sure. It’s so peaceful up there.
